Trans-Siberian Railway, Baikal and Ulan-Ude travel photos

Trans-Siberian Railway - 4 days in the train from Moscow to Baikal. Trans-Siberian Railway is the six-day, 9446-km journey from Moscow to the Pacific Ocean. The Trans-Siberian Railroad links most of Ural, southern-Siberia and the Far East's major cities: Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Novokuznetsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, and Vladivostok. Lake Baikal, known as the "Pearl of Siberia," is the oldest and deepest lake on earth and home to more than one thousand endemic species of aquatic life. Ulan Ude is the capital of Buryatia and it is located in the middle of vast Siberian steppes, on the 5640th kilometer of the Trans-Siberian railway. Near Ulan Ude, located in the hills, there is a beautiful Ivolginsky Datsan or Buddhist school. It is a big center of Buddhist culture with temples, a library and a school for monks. It is actually the biggest Tibetian buddhist temple in Russia. A guide to travel from Europe to China or Japan by Trans-Siberian Railway is available at this webpage seat61.com.
