Singapore - the Merlin Statue

The Merin Statue in Singapore is part fish, part lion. It is situated at the mouth of the Singapore River and it is a fitting icon of Singapore since legend says that the Singa, or lion, which Indonesian Prince Sang Nila Utama first glimpsed, was seen near this spot.
