China - Mount Laoshan 28

Mount Laoshan, or Mount Lao, since "shan" means mountain is China's largest coastal mountain range, lying midway along Shandong Peninsula's southern, or Yellow Sea, coastline. The highest peak of Laoshan Mountain is 1133 meters. Overlooking the sea, the mountain is characterized by the imposing canyon, undulating peaks and mystery mist. There are many scenic spots around the Taiqing Palace Taoism Temple, such as the Shewnshui Spring, Longtou Yu, Stone Inscription etc. Laoshan Mountain is said to be home of the "supernatural Spirits" and it is one of the birthplaces of Taoism.
